3 Apps to Spruce Up Your Photos

Nowadays smartphones have camera lenses that can rival a professional DSLR. As a result, we can become our own personal photographers. It can be a really fun experience! If you're looking to spruce up your photo expertise and begin editing here are few apps I swear by.

Snapseed

I came across Snapseed through a fellow Dean Street Betty, the original Hilary Rushford, during an IG tutorial. I loooove this app. You can add filters, but the main draw for me is the ability to edit specific details in your photo. Using the Selective tool, you can edit the brightness, contrast and saturation of one area at a time. Below in the before and after, I increased the brightness and saturation of the soap, notebook and lemon in the tea. It is a paid app, less than ANYTHING at Starbucks.  It's totally been worth it!

VSCO

This is probably your blogger's favorite app. This app has so many different filters, you can get lost getting just the perfect filter that works for your feed. You can save your edits and copy them to pictures once you gotten that favorite juju. Another cool feature is being able to find other cool folks to follow and admire on VSCO. This app is also free.

Touch/Retouch

This is another paid app. It is an app that I seldomly use, but is great to remove unwanted items from your pics. There are three different ways to remove or cover up unwanted things and there is a tutorial built into the app.
