Mixt by Heidi Weisel at Dressbar
Hello and Happy Monday! We made it to another week! I hope everyone is enjoying the amazing weather. It's long overdue here in New York.
Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending The Dressbar launch event for Mixt by Heidi Weisel, a new dress collection for Dressbarn. If you haven't seen on IG, the dress from her collection are lovely. From mixing jersey with eyelet and non-print print dresses in bold colors, I had a ton of favorites.
Luckily for me, I have awesome friends out there in the social media universe, to help me decide which dress I should wear to the event. Thank you to everyone who voted and participated! I promise to have something worthwhile, for the next time! *wink*
At the event, it was certainly fantastic to meet and speak with some Dressbarn employees who came out to support. I have to say, the Dressbarn ladies certainly know how to represent! More importantly, there was so much positive energy that it was contagious. So a special shoutout to the ladies I met last night: Vera, Rebecca, Judy, Stephanie, Melissa, Carrie, Sally (!!!) and Lauren (lalala!).
Someone asked me during the event, "As a stylist, what can you say about the crowd in attendance?" To that I responded, it's amazing that there all so many women wearing the same dress, representing the Heidi Weisel collection, but everyone looks so different!
That is the message I try to share with all of my clients and readers. It doesn't matter if you're wearing the same dress as the woman next to you. What matters is how YOU wear it to reflect YOUR awesome personality. Whether it's with statement jewelry, bold shoes or bold lipstick, hell or all 3, it's how you rock it that makes it standout and makes it YOU. Perfect example, I paired the color blocked dress with an embellished belt by Dressbarn to add my own flare.
Make sure you stay on the lookout for the next event! If you're in the New York Area, you need to make sure you come to the next one! It's open to the public, so why not sip and shop!
Love you, Mean It!
