The Heart Part Episode 008: Adopting a Minimalist Lifestyle

Hey Folks!

This episode covers about how minimalism became a great way to simplify life and to focus on what truly matters. It’s so easy to try to keep up with the Joneses or in this case, the Instagrammers of Today, but at what cost? Your sanity? Your bank account? Your dignity? During this episode, I had a great chat with someone who has adopted minimalism and is a stellar woman herself, CP Patrick.

CP Patrick is the author of award-winning novel, The Truth about Awiti and the poetry collection, Dear Ancestors. She launched the blog Afro Minimalist, sharing how she applies minimalist principles in her life, while still using the pretty things (something we’ll talk about during this episode) and living a more intentional and happier life. She shared her personal minamalist story, why announcing those social media breaks is unnecessary, the need for teaching generational wealth and the other side of letting go of the things we don’t need.

Once you've listened to this episode, please share any takeaways you may have or aha moments!
